Well here we go again.  I’m back in Facebook Jail.  I think I must be on some kind of Facebook watch list or something, and the guy in charge of reviewing my account has no sense of humor and no ability to comprehend the difference between satire and reality. 

I follow Steve Deace on Facebook. He is a conservative, he has a daily show that he does that is reminiscent of Rush Limbaugh’s show. A few weeks ago Steve posted something that pointed out the tyranny that is happening in other countries. I don’t know what post it was specifically because Facebook deleted it, but it was probably a post about how Canada is arresting pastors for speaking the truth, or Australia is arresting people over the vaccine, or something like that.  Whatever it was, I felt that it was a post that pointed out that certain governments were acting in a tyrannical, very Nazi-like way. 

And so, to express that I felt this way about it, I posted a comment quoting the first line of the Nazi theme song which goes, “Deutschland, Deutschland über alles, Über alles in der Welt…”  And THAT is all I typed.  The translation of these words is “Germany, Germany above all, above all in the world…” There’s nothing inherently Nazi about the words themselves, which were written in 1841, almost 100 years before Nazis even existed.

I reject Nazi philosophy, and agree with all people who believe that the Nazis and their philosophies were evil to the core.  The point of my post was not to support them but the exact opposite. And yet Facebook saw this comment and decided I needed to be thrown in Facebook jail for supporting violent groups.  I have appealed this decisions with the “oversight board” but there’s really nothing else I can do. 

This is the fourth time I have been put in FB jail for something ridiculous, and it seems that no matter what I say, they find fault with it.  I think the writing is on the Facebook wall for me, it’s just a matter of time before my account is shut down.  I will miss seeing updates from my friends and family. I will miss talking to people about various things. But I will not miss waking up to the news that some leftist in California has decided that my freedom of speech on their site should be removed because they don’t agree with me.
