Snow is a no Show

>

I keep telling my brother Tony that he needs to move out here, because it’s warmer and we don’t get so much nasty weather. I was ready to eat my words if 8 inches of snow fell overnight, but some warm gulf front pushed the snow to the north (mostly), meaning that we only got about an inch. They say that we may get another couple of inches throughout the day, but they are the same people that said we’d get 8 inches overnight. Yeah. As you can see from the picture, you can still see the grass in my front yard.

So I am taking the kids to school this morning. I called work to see if they needed me. They don’t. I get the day off, but the kids don’t. Bummer.

Now it’s off to navigate the “slick roads.” If anybody in Iowa is reading this, “slick” here means “wet.” (now watch me get into an accident. That would be a laugh). It’s currently 35 degrees. It’s supposed to get up in the 50’s in a few days.

    >My kids got sent home from school early on Tuesday. Early as in 12:15. Of course Kyle stayed until 12:30 so he could eat lunch hehe! He liked the lunch they were having that day LOL! Anyway, we didn’t even get an inch of snow Tuesday! It didn’t even cover the roads! I’m STILL trying to figure out WHY they came home early.
