I’m tired of looking at the jawbone every time I look at my blog, so I figured it’s time for a new post. What’s going on in my life?

The main thing that’s going on in my life right now is a virus. Some bug attacked my body (and I don’t know where it came from…nobody I have been around recently is sick, that I know of). I started to feel ill last Thursday night at work. By Friday morning when I got off work I knew it was going to be bad, so I called in sick for Friday night work. My head felt like it was full of stuffing and some of it was leaking out my nose (TMI?). Then Saturday my throat hurt so bad I could hardly talk. My temp has gone from normal up to almost 101 at times. I’ve been moving between my recliner and my computer chair for the past six days. Sudafed, Advil, Mucinex-DM, and Halls have been my bestest friends. I have been drinking water and gatorade like a fish (except the gatorade part, fish don’t drink that). I have been sleeping in the recliner for two reasons: 1. When I lie down, I start coughing. 2. I figure it isn’t a good thing for my wife to be stuck in a room breathing my diseased air all night. I had to call in sick again for tonight (Tuesday). I do feel better, but I don’t know if I’m going to be able to work the next two nights or not. Regardless, this next paycheck is going to be bad.

I’ve only ventured out of my house once since last Friday morning: to take my son to a youth rally Saturday night. I had to drive ten minutes, drop him off, and then drive home. I decided to stop at Gamestop to return a game that didn’t work, and that was an effort. Speaking of which, this is new: after years of waiting, I finally have an XBOX 360! My brother gave me his old one (plus a few games), and my other brother gave me a hard drive for it, so all I needed was a few controllers, which I got. New Xbox games cost around $60 so that’s out. My brother sent me to Gamestop, where I found used games for cheap (some as low as $2). We spent $25 and walked out with 8 games. Oh, and the game I returned that didn’t work? I got Madden 09 (used) for $6 while I was there. I got it home, threw it in the console……doesn’t work. So now I have to go BACK to Gamestop. I think it’s a scam to keep me coming back.

So that’s what’s going on in my life right now. I’ve been hitting Netflix pretty hard, and I’ve played through Jedi Academy twice. I hope this bug goes away soon, I don’t think I can take too much more relaxing.
