Snow

Well, there’s supposed to be heap big snow coming to Central Indiana tonight. They have been predicting 4-8 inches, with some areas receiving (gasp!) 10 inches!!!

As an Iowa boy, this makes me chuckle. Or maybe laugh. I don’t know if I have ever actually chuckled. I am not scheduled to work tomorrow, but I told them that I am going to spend the day with my kids, assuming that they don’t go to school. If they do go to school, I told the hospital that I am going to take them to school and then drive to the hospital to work. If I do that, I get a $100 giftcard to Best Buy (a good start towards my Nintendo DS).

So either way, if the storm is nasty (by Indiana standards), I get to spend the day with my family. If it is not nasty, I get to work with a bonus!

Either way, I have Sunday off work, so I can go watch the Super Bowl at a friend’s house, and enjoy the game. Go Giants!*

*Disclaimer: the owner of this blog is not a Giants fan, nor has he ever been or ever will be. He supports the Giants for two reasons: 1. because he supports the Colts. Peyton Manning (the Greatest Quarterback in History) has a little brother on the Giants. 2. The Evil Empire out of Foxborough, Mass is the only other option. Go Giants!

News Flash! Ed Quits

I predicted that he would wait until after the results were in from Super Tuesday, but I guess not, because Ed is out!

So now it’s 3vs2. As Duncan McCloud said, “There can be only one.”

New Home

I have decided to move to blogspot.com from livejournal.com. To those of you who are used to reading my posts at http://skpicky.livejournal.com/, I will no longer be posting there, and I will instead be posting here. I’m not sure if I will move everything over and close that one (I don’t even know if that’s possible).

I will continue the current writing format of my other blog. This means that I will continue to talk about things that matter to me. This is not a sports blog, but I will discuss football and baseball (among other things). This is not a political blog, but I will discuss politics. This is not a biographical blog, but I will discuss things that happen in my life.

Strap in, and welcome.

The Colts

As both of you reading this know, I’m an Indianapolis Colts Fan. When the Colts lost in the playoffs this year, several of my coworkers asked me if I cried. “Please.” I told them…”I’m also a Cubs fan. We are used to disappointment. There’s always next year.
