I’ve been riding the “sit-around-on-my-butt” train for the past three months. Wednesday I got on the scale and the number was higher than it’s ever been. So Thursday morning after I got off work the train pulled into the station, and I switched trains. Now I’m on the “lose weight express train.” I restarted my jogging program (back at square one, of course). I’m not going to use the cold weather as an excuse to hibernate anymore.
So yesterday I walked 4 minutes, run 1 minute for five reps. I will do that for a week, then walk 3 minutes, run 2, then walk 2 run 3, etc. I should be up to running two miles with no breaks by the end of February.
We are also going to work on eating less junk. Hopefully the combination of these two things will eventually result in a 30% reduction in me. So do me a favor: ask me how the jogging is going! Keep me honest!
